We use maths every day in many ways, e.g., shopping, cooking, driving, measuring, solving problems. Try to involve your child in these real life contexts for maths whenever possible.
The Ministry of Education’s website is an excellent resource and has lots of ideas for maths suitable for each year group. The NZ Maths (Maths at our House) is a good site too.
Online Maths Programmes
At home your child can access the same online maths programmes that they use at school. These are excellent for building number knowledge and skills. Please see your child’s T group teacher if you have questions about how to log on at home:
